Where the Society Has Got To
Assalaamou Alaikoum all,
We would like to provide everyone with a brief update on our project for the Mauritian Muslim Funeral Fund and Bereavement Society.
Alhamdulillah, we are making steady progress. We have registered with the Cooperative Society, applied for a community bank account (now open), and have also started working on our website (www.mmfbs.uk). These processes are still ongoing, but Alhamdulillah, everything is on track. We will keep everyone informed once our bank account has been finalised and our registration with the Co-op has been fully completed.
Important: Until we are formally registered as a society, we are not registering any potential members at this stage, and most importantly, we are not accepting any payments or contributions yet. We will let everyone know as soon as everything is officially up and running and we are ready to proceed.

An Islamic burial is normally arranged within a day or two, and its costs arrive with no warning. The Society exists so that no bereaved family in our community has to meet them alone, or ask.
